Just curious, for the engine builders on this site or anyone else with dyno operation experience, what type of exaust systems do you run on your dyno? What are the benefits of running a dry, car type header vs a water cooled system? What are the draw backs of testing with each? Any major difference between wet/dry or tuned header vs. a Gill type? Do you run an O2 sensor or knock sensor? Just looking for some thoughts here as I, probably like most folks, have heard all kinds of logic supporting the different systems.

Changing exhaust on the Dyno will change how effiecent the engine will scavenge. It is always best to tune using the exhaust you're going to run. If you're going to run wet, use it on the dyno, it will affect your HP numbers, and more importantly your tuning. We've gone as fas as to run the entire exhast system headers, pipes & all off of race cars to dial them in.
