Default OT: HELP I need a DVD player for a SUV

I have a 2003 Tahoe and I wasn't able to get it with a dvd system. where do I get one? How hard to install? Who has a great price? Any help would be great. I looked on e-bay but nothing seems to be there but I always lost on e-bay anyways.
Thanks,
Rick

Quick suggestion...

A DVD system with a 6.4" screen installed will run you around $750 at the wholesale level, and around a grand at the retail level.

A Compaq Presario laptop with a 14" screen, 1.6GHZ Athlon, DVD player, 256MB ram, WinXP, and a 20Gig Drive will run you around a grand. An extra $30 will get you a cigarette lighter 300 watt inverter.

I've got both (a ceiling mounted 6.4" vehicle system, and the laptop) and the choice is painfully clear to me.

(guess what I am typing on right now in my undies on the bed - oh yeah, I got a 802.11a wireless card in it too...)

My son is 20 months and he's not able to hold anything for any given time. I was looking at the dvd's in a bag to hang between the seats. I also saw some audiovox mobil units at best buy but the screen looks a little small. My brother has the dvd player in his tahoe 2003 and it has wireless headphones. HIs kids are 4-6.
is one brand better than the other? If both have 6.5 screens? They need to be wireless because he'll just end up playen with the cords.

We hang the laptop in a "fully open" or "flat" position in a piece of cargo netting (that came from one of our old minivans) from both front seat headrests. The screen is positioned between the front seats like you mention.

When we go in the minivan, we let the mid seat down flat and sit it on it and the kids use the seat as a legrest, laptop table, and board game table (we slide the rear seat all the way forward).

In the YukonXL we run the 6.4 roofmount AND the laptop, so they can watch different things. Wired and wireless headphones are used.

Good luck and hope you get what you want.
