a bunch of us boaters in my area are very unhappy about waiting for a part that's been backordered for over 1 year and now shows up and its the wrong tread size but the right part number on box !!! the part # is 809664a1 which is a prop zinc that looks like a bullet and is mounted to a special prop nut on the prop shaft. . this pn is for bravo 1 drives and should have fine threads not coarse threads!!!last year all the local dealers sold out and we could'nt find this part anywhere, all said it was on back order!!! well just this week all these backordered items got shipped after 1 year and it's wrong!! we looked in the 2002 and 2003 mercury parts book and it's still the same pn# as last year. but the wrong threads this year ., since when do bravo1 drives have coarse threads on the prop shafts! any oso members have connections to the factory that might be willing to point this problem out and resolve it ? any help would be appreciated.
