I was just looking at my loan papers. I am paying 7.99% on a $40,000 loan at 180 months = $385.00 a month. Does anyone do refinacing on here?

Mortgage Guy Bill here. If your credit is good, and you are going for a 15 year, you can (in Michigan) get close to 5%, and maybe 1/8th less if you go with a 10 year.

Mortgage Lenders have to have a location in the state where the mortgage will be. I can at present only do mortgages in Michigan and Arizona. Sorry.

If you do it for 15 @ 5.125%, it will save you about $65/month, and over $17,000 if you compare paying each to full term without any additional monthly principle payments.
