Default APBA St. Cloud

I was very disappointed to see how unorginized and messed up this race was handled. They where not prepared, and didnt have a clue.Losts of bad calls for alot of the teams I was really suprised I thought they were much more professional. I guess all we can do is grin and bare it. I'll know better next time.

Frank:

What class did you race in? Give em a break - it was a divisional race and I'm sure they had their hands full with all the boats there. Come to Daytona to a APBA Offshore Pro Series Event - BH

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if someone breaks through their bracket such as 81-82mph in a 70 to 80 mph class, aren't they disqualified and then pushed up into the 80 + class?

Thats what I thought, but they said there was nothing they could do about it.It was thier numbers and calculations I couldnt believe when they posted them, and he didnt get disqualified. But I guess that racing!

Franky, just want to comment on a few things about St. Cloud. No dought it was disorganised, but this was the first year it was run by the rotary club and not John Dippol and like you say it was a mess.If APBA had run the numbers on ...p4 like they did on p5 that Velocity wouldnt have been in there. They went over Vixen and said if thier formula came out over 69.9 we would get bumped up,the problem was they use a slipe factor of 8 on the prop.We had to go too a 5000 chip in the MSD box to stay in p5 or a 24p prop.We went with chip and stayed with the 25p prop. When I pulled out of the ramp the inspecter was there to check us.P4 has always been a catch all, thats wy we went to a smaller eng.and p5.When I seen that p4 on that Velocity i knew someone had a friend in the right place again and was going home with a checkerd flag. They did it to us 2 years in a row in p4 and untill they get a handle on it like p5 I stay in 5.but as far as i am I will take APBA 1000 times over big john. At least APBA dont change the rules by how many entries you need in a class.STEVE, work on p4 like you did p5 and these two classes will be great to race in. MEL TEAM VIXEN GO APBA

Don't worry, P classes get GPS units in Daytona.
