32 Pachanga, Tell Me About Them
Yesterday I came across a 1991, 32ft. Sea Ray Pachanga, in very very nice condition. The boat has 454 Mags, Bravo's with 25P Mirages. It is also equiped with heat, air and a bimini, no trailer. The owner also owns the marina where the boat is located and claims a top speed of 78MPH. I think he is about 8-10 MPH optimistic. I always thought of these boats as being kind of heavy, luxury cruiser. I would like thoughts on quality, ride, and general performance. His asking price is $49,000.00.

I had a 88 or 89 32 with the 454's. A very good solid well constructed boat. On a good day it would reach 62 (I think) and this was with brand new Mercs. For the performance I would not consider, but if your looking for an all around well constructed boat with cabin room and ammenities, this is a good option. Your price is a bit high though.

I would look at a Donzi 33 Crossbow instead. Searay is out of the HI PO Boat business so there is no resale on these Pachangas. Being originally a mich. Co there are a ton of them around.

My cousin had a '91 Pachanga w/454mags, upper 60's on GPS - there are 2 other's 32' ray's that I boat with -(they love them) personally I would,nt buy one -heavy - (ride is pretty good) good family boat lots of amenities,

I absolutely love the 32 Pachanga. You'll never be the fastest, but what a nice ride with a usable cabin.

Personally, I think the top end is a bit off, maybe lower 60's.
As for the ride, I was in one, and the lake was pretty snotty..............not too impressed, but that could have been the driver.

Pachanga's are very well built boats but a little dated. The smaller ones 22-24 could hold it OK on speed for the power, but the 32 is just too heavy and the hull sticks to the water. It would be a great family boat, but if your looking for speed, I say pass on them. At 50K you can get a better boat. He is way over priced, maybe a good buy at 25K
