No wake, No Wake and No Anchor
#1
Yesterday the recomendations were to extened the no wake zone at the Grand Glaze bridge out to the main channel.
Also recomended were no anchoring in the cove by Porta Cima.
Finally the cove that Backwater Jacks is in will now be a no wake zone also on holidays and weekends.
These have been forwarded for and will likely gain approval.
I would guess that in time all the coves will be no wake, seems that if 75% of the people agree then it's approved and who doesn't want THIER cove to be no wake?
My biggest problem is with restricting anchoring on the lake, it isn't like they are anchored in the channel or anything and also restricting traffic on the main arms. Now the home owners association farther up the arm will be wanting it extended because you have pushed the "problem" to another area.
Oh well that's the LOTO update for those of you comming down, please make those adjustments

WE free iraq!
Now we need help here! They are taking away all our rights and freedoms. They just closed a boat ramp around my house with a locked gate after 10 pm. They asked a local he stated boaters shouldn't be out at night it's too dangerous at night. so now i have to find a new ramp Boat ramp hours 6am -10 pm. They have speed laws in Nj what's next?

Isn't Slug Hefner a member on here? He has a house in the BWJ cove and maybe he can shed some light on all this. The no anchoring at Porto Cima sucks. That was one of the nice spots to sit and watch some golf. What's next, daytime speed restrictions?

Probably
and besides , didn't you know that the people who own houses there also own the lake and they don't want you anchored in front of their house.
Just ask them

Do part-time homeowners have voting rights down there? We have a house and we have never received anything about polling locations or anything regarding voting. If part-time homeowners are not allowed to vote on these issues, we are fighting a lost cause. I think the only people voting are full-time residents and, for the most part, hate part-timers.
