Default HP 500 Plugs

It has been about a year since I have had a tuneup and I think I am just going to change the plugs. I do alot of idleing.

Does anyone have any preferences or theories?

Also what gap should they be set to.. I haven'tt changed a set of plugs since 1980 for my 68 VET..

Thanks!!

I have always used the AC MR43T with great success. Have heard from Dennis Moore and he mentioned using the Champion RV15YC4 as they are extended tip plugs and might help clean up the transom with a more efficient burn at idle????

Default Extended Tips

I do have a problem with excess soot on the transom. These extended tips.. Do they have any negative aspects? Are there clearance problems?

No problems and they are magic ,they will stay clean themselves longer and maybe help with back of boat ,,,,MSD 6al and coil will really help if you idle alot with mileage and the transom and maybe a few more RPM's ,
True tuners like Champions to read as they read easier than A?C's But A/C'S seem to last longer
