Anyone change cams or try anything else?

Do a search on cams e.t.c. There is a ton of info on OSO on upgrading the 502/500Hp motors. I have a HP 500 I am presently building & installing this week. I went with the139731 Crane cam(most like the 139741), bored out 509cu, cleaned up the heads a little & had 3 angle valve job done aswell. Merlin single plane intake, 800Holley with CMI headers.I will hopefully have her running by next weekend. I believe a blower is the best bang for your buck.

Really need to decide how much HP you are looking to make. From there you can make realistic decisions on the Parts required and how much $$$$ it is going to take to get you there.

The 500s I have are efis. And I havent heard much on cam upgrades.

We've done 27 500's this winter ,yes the cam will really help and new springs and 1/2 point more comp. /send the ecu to Az.speed and marine ,,pm me I'll help you The heads are the weak part
