Cool Bahamas

Finally! After way too many weather delays, we finally made it to Bimini and Cat Cay. It was worth the wait. Water too beautiful for words. It's pretty awesome when you can see the bottom, in 100 feet of water!! The only downside - running back with 15 - 20 knots of wind out of the NE. (Are we having fun yet?)

How rough does it get? What size boat could you get away with Miami to Bimini

If the poor little cuban kids can make it over on a tire, Im pretty sure you could do it in a big boat with a big motor

I have known of people to do it in fairly small boats. I am tempted to try it this summer in the 21' Donzi.

I've heard stories of guys going over in big sportfishers and then the seas get too big for them to come back. They have to leave their boats and fly back, then go retrieve the boats later. I know a guy who went in his 24 foot World Cat. You just never know. We were talking about it yesterday, not a trip I really want to make, especially since I don't even like the Bahamas.

That looks beautiful!1 My wife and I were discussing how much fun it would be to take our little Cig to the bahamas! We will get there someday!

Need to relocate to Florida soon! Looking now, maybe something will come up by next year!

After riding over to the Bahamas in the OSO GMC Trucks/Cigarette Gladiator last year, I keep thinking I'd love to take the 25 Active Thunder across. In fact, I don't know the islands very well, but I would love to do a "group run" sometime.
That pic really makes me think of last years races.
GAWD I hate Kansas...
