anyone have trouble with there trailer ball nut coming loose? had the problem last year pulling a 32 fountain. torque the hell out of the nut.

now last night driving back from loto, 3 am with my new boat 36 baja, boat seems to start to bump a little, stop and check nut, it is gone. life past before my eye's.

this nut 1 1/4 shaft, tighten by very strong man with big pipe wrench, beat on with slege hammer, and then braised.

Put a little grease on the ball itself to let the trailer slip on the ball while cornering. If that fails to remedy the problem buy a ball that is welded to the hitch that slides into the receiver. Hope this helps. Grease will usually take care of it. Dont put grease on the bottom side of the ball just the top and upper sides of the ball.

yes there is a lock washer on it. will try the grease though.

Is there enough threads to lock another nut against the first one?

We have an impact socket that we use just for trailer balls at the shop. We use it to put on every ball when we install tow packages for customers. Impact gun is rated at 600 ft/lbs. That'll do the job.

Have someone put a weld on it. Cheap and done for good.

Weld It and put the grease on it.
