I have trail-master trailer with brakes The tongue does not wont to release from the ball . I have to pull forward and slam on brakes !! And sometimes that does'nt work . Have to pull pin on hitch . and take it off from truck.

no fun, is it rusted up, try some liquid wrench, or wd40 on it

Has it been in saltwater?

There is a tensioning bolt on the thing that may have been tightened to much. Grease it up? Is there to much tounge weight?

No it has not been in saltwater . Yes I have used WD 40 and no it is not rusted.. Yes there is a tensioning bolt . I will check it . I don't think there is to much tongue weight. Thanks for input. FFO

I used to have a Vanguard Trailer that was made by the same people who make Trailmaster. I had the same problem. What a pain it was every time I went to disconnect. Never did fiqure out what the problem was.

That always fun cranking the boat up, and watching the trucks ass end go up with it!
