No. You can't see them. However, all is not lost. You can get into the Marcus center for free if you're willing to sit on the grass. You'll need to buy a pass into summerfest and then get your hand stamped for the grass area. They only have a limited number of grass seats so if it's a really popular concert you'll want to get down there early. It's not uncommon for there to be a line of a hundred people when the festival opens. They'll rush to get their hand stamped and then proptly leave. The summerfest ticket used to allow you to leave and then come back.

fireworks blown off from summerfest are great from the water, just remember to keep your distance, if not your boat will have ash deposited on your deck.

Alot of people anchor off the shore along the north end of the grounds where the Rock stage is. You can hear the music fairly well. The Leinie's stage is just south of that stage and both can get muddled together if you're not positioned right. It's still a good time just hanging out there.

Summerfest is adding a dozen transient slips for us boaters. Not enough in my mind, but at least it is a start. If you have any questions, let me know. We live just outside of Milwaukee and our '36 Apache is kept there in the river. Little Tommy
