Question OT-GIGABYTE???Photo/Audio DVD-ARRRGHH

I'm trying to figure out how many photos averaging 1.8megabyte file size will fit on a 4.7 gigabyte DVD using slide show format (I want to transfer 1,750 photos.)

I was totally shocked to find out that a gigabyte is not a billion bytes as I thought, but is, 1,073,741,824 bytes. ...

How the hell did it ever get such an uneven
number:
confused:

My calculator does not go as high a a gigabyte. After I live thru this quagmire, I have to figure out how to add music to the DVD,,

There I said it..just venting...

You will need 3,250 mb (1.8mb x 1750 photos). You have 4,700 mb (4.7 gb) on the dvd. You should be fine.
