Question Fountain water drain design question.

Can any other fountain owners out there relate or help me with this? I have a 98 32' Fever. When water gets into the cockpit area, it appears to drain from the floor in two drain areas in front of the back seat. However, the water eventually ends up in the cabin carpeted floor area after a while. I know there is a bilage pump under the step going into the cabin that is designed to pump out the water, but it only comes on after the level gets high enough activate the float switch. It seems like a kooky drain design to me. Why didn't Fountain drain into the engne compartment where the two bilage pumps can expell it? Any comments?

Default Fountain water drain

Where is the plug? If you can plug it, what happens to the water?

check to see wear your ice chest drains as well, my 32 1994 would drain into a stringer and get stuck, would not have noticed it but i cracked my cooler and neaded to replace it, dropped the drain hose and when i was reaching for it found really gross water.

I noticed the same thing on my '99.
I'm going to install a tee w/checkvalve in the sink drain. Piss poor design draining water into the hull if you ask me!
