Default Setting base timing on 454 EFI

Can someone tell me which wire/connector I need to ground/connect to set the base timing on a 1999 454 EFI ??

I know base timing should be 8 degrees but don't have a scan tool or a book.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi, open the data link connector( DLC).It is usually in the electronic box that is bolted to the port exhaust elbow. put a paperclip between the white/black and black/ white wires. That will put the engine in service mode. You will need to be quick on the throttle because the rpm will drop if the engine is running. increase the rpm to some 1800. set the timing with a timing light.
