I wouldn’t worry about the absence of hydraulic steering. I think rule of thumb is to have hydraulic steering for anything over 70mph. A 36 Outlaw with twin 502 is only going to make 66-68mph.

I would worry more about the absence of speed. My 24 Outlaw ran about 66mph and it was exciting. Now that I have a 29, a 66mph top speed would seem really boring. In a 36, I would have to think a 66mph top speed would make you feel like you’re moving backwards. You will probably be bored in one week with a boat that size that only goes 66-68.

One school of thought is that a boat that size (even if it has a slow top speed) can outrun smaller, faster boats because they can run wide open in rough water when smaller boats have to slow down.

My school of thought is that a smaller, faster boat like a 29 that can run 77-78 can outrun a big, slow 36 because the extra speed insures that you’re always towards the front of the pack running in clean water.

Damn CAP...Just add a few pro-chargers and speed isn't an issue!!!

Good looking boat...a friend of mine has a 33 with HP500's and the boat runs great.

If it is what it looks like then it's certainly priced well. I agree that it deserves a closer look.

I thought all 502's came standard with hyd. steering. I know on a 33 they do. Also the dash panels have been replaced except for the one to the right of the sterring wheel. It seems like a good deal though. Does the trailer come with it? I called about a 33 and after a couple questions the guy said it didn't come with the trailer. I didn't understand this cause the trailer was made for a 33 and the guy wasn't buying another one.

The boat definitely has been used as the refrigerator door is missing and some of the dash panels have been replaced. The gaffrig gauges other than the speedo and tachs aren't the monster series, makes me wonder what else??????? buyer beware!!!!
