Default Rplacement Sportmaster's Lowers For Xr Drives

I am thinking of replacing lowers on XR drives with sportmasters, has anyone done it, and what if any differences?

Did the 2" shorter ones on my 30 Spectre and picked up 10 MPH.
Easy bolt on. You will need new props.

Talking OOOOHHH YAAAAAA !!!!

We just took 2 standard XR's off of a 35 Cigarette and installed standard length IMCO SC's and picked up 5 mph.
Almost made it a 100mph piece.

Pwrbt33,

I wonder if you would have seen any more of a gain in MPH if you would have had the IMCO or Merc 2'' shorter lowers on your drives??? An interesting thought to think about anyway.

Talking Higher isnt always better !!

Kaama,
Cigarette told us that the x was already high enough. If we would have went shorter we would have seen planing problems and porpusing problems. We had hoped to try a set of Herings on it before the customer took delivery but we ran out of time. Hopefully the customer will try and achieve 100 +.

That's a considerable gain, I'm running 83mph inCig42TS with XR and 500EFI's, I wonder if there would be THAT much gain?
