Lake Hartwell Meals on Wheels Charity Poker Run

We had a ball!
We had 5 Baja's that ran together all day, and occasionally another one would join in. We gave the them a real workout too, with absolutely no problems. There was (3) 25 Outlaw's, (1) 36 Outlaw, and (1) 232 Islander. All of which could run in excess of 70 MPH, and most of the time we were running close to that. The 232 had a little rougher ride, but he hung in there quite well. I had the best hand of our group which was a Kings over Queens Full House, and it was only good enough for fourth place. Just out of the money. We were the only boat that knew the lake so I got the privilege of being the leader most of the day. Thanks to the group for making this a very memorable weekend. Including Mark & Tommie (Dock Holiday 36 Outlaw), John and Melody (25 Outlaw), Jason and Crew (Red Hot Mama 25 Outlaw), and Ralph and Crew (232 Islander). Now next weekend is the rescheduled Lake Norman Baja Poker Run, maybe I can get the same hand I had this weekend. We cruised around again on Sunday with one final speed run at the end of the day, which turned out to be the best of the weekend. All three of us getting some pretty big AIR.

Yeah, they had to move a few of the card stops because of the high water. From Saturday to Sunday the water came up one foot, and a couple places we went on Saturday. We could not go on Sunday. What kind of Baja do you have Lakejunke?

WOW, what a bunch of "Outlaws" having a wild time!
Jeff, I special thanks to you and Sonya for leading the way and doing all the driving for dinner.
Three boats from Norman and our poker run to be this Sunday. It doesn't get any better.
Jeff, next time you are at the dock, check to see if I have any messages on the cell phone!!!!!!!!
John, Melody, Jason & crew, thanks, it was awesome.
Tanner, I hope you got an offer on the Apache this weekend. I cannot believe a pink boat won the prize for best boat???
Very nice to see you again!
If you have not been to Hartwell, it is a great lake, at least this year. Lots of water and wide open spaces to run. We overnighted two nights at Portman marina for only $20.00 per night, which included a covered slip and shore power. There are two great resturants there for dinner only and you might even get lucky and get gas for only $1.00 per gallon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See you guys next weekend.
