Default now it's faster and more RPM's?

Got my prop from houston propeller, ran about 4600 WOT and 72 mph one person, 1/4 tank of gas. Over Memorial day weekend with three people and a full tank of gas ran 4900-5000 rpm WOT and 75 mph. Nothing else was changed. Not complaining but wondering why.

Probably changed the weight distribution and the amount of wetted surface.

HELLO??? Ya think it could be because Houston Propeller knows their she-it? Nahhh... must be something else...lol They have woke up SEVERAL boats for forum members by simply massaging their props, it's an art ... day and night difference. Wonder why Mud and Snow tires work better for 4 wheelin than slicks? You best say Thank you Houston Propeller... cause it sounds to me like they earned it!

If I'm reading the post correctly, both of these speeds were recorded after getting the props done.

When I talked to Darwin @ Houston Prop yesterday, he was telling me someone else had just told him their boat ran faster with more people in it. My problem was when I am lite on fuel & people the transom would lift thus slowing me down. Darwin made some changes to the prop so hopefully I will get more bow lift. Will find out next weekend.

How about temperture and humidity? Cooler dryer air is worth speed.

It was cooler the first time out in April, talked to Darin at houston propeller, his thought was maybe fresh gas made some difference.
