I've read posts stating that the Shadow Cats were good rough water boats. Why?
I think they have a flat area on the bottom(pad), which it seems to me would make them fast, but, rough riding.

Just wait for T2x to explain. He was one of the owners, designers and builders of what is arguably the BEST ROUGH water cat ever built. I raced one, the winningest boat in offshore history. It was one HELL OF A ROUGH WATER BOAT! I would run a Shadow Cat any day, any time, any where! The only thing that is needed would be a MAJOR over haul of the cockpit as they were not known for the fit and finish inside. Purely race bred. If you are considering one, and run in rough water, you WILL NOT go wrong!

We had some of the best technology at the time when it came to racing the 30 ft Shadow with triple 2.4 EFI Mercs. Awesome in the rough!!!
