Default Anyone seen one of these

Sorry for posting here but I only got 59 hits in 3 weeks in the boats wanted section.
I am looking for a Jersey speed skiff or Speed Garvey. If you are from the East Coast you may know what they look like, if not here are some pics.

This site has a classified section:

Growing up they raced them every other weekend near our house at the Jersey Shore. Always thought they were cool, and the drivers were nuts.

Too Old, thanks, I emailed him this morning.
They are a lot safer than they look and extremely fun to drive.
I raced before they installed cages and we used to say it wasn't a matter of if you would be tossed from one, it was a matter of when

The Big block Garveys pictured were never sanctioned by APBA because they are too dangerous. As far as I know they only race in Jersey and they put out about 800hp.
My dad had one called Ladybird2 in the 70's that ran about 100mph. they used to test using bouy to bouy 1000 ft runs and a stop watch to calculate speed. Since I moved to FL and haven't been around that scene in a while I have lost touch and am having a tough time locating either one. The ones I have found are either too much work or overpriced (because owner really doesn't want to sell) I do appreciate the help and I will find one
