Now this is really rumor starting, but I heard from a VERY reliable source within Apache that the owners of Apache may be buying Cigarette. If this happens, none other than Bobby Saccenti would be put at the helm of this new high performance powerhouse. Now that's a man that knows how to build a boat!

Well, according to recent publications, the current owners of Cigarette are more interested in leveraging their brand than in building boats. And with their reported problems at their new facility, selling the boat part could be a prudent move. It's done all the time. Volkswagen bought Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini.

Lets just say I wouldn't start a rumor that had no merit. Of course things can fall apart at the last second but this seems to be on a warpath if you know what I mean.

i got an email from someone close to Apache. My take was they are exploring the idea of purchasing the entire operation, but it was only in the rumor stages.
