Just smashed my speedo pic-up off my boat.
I know Gaffrig makes a pick-up, but its very expensive. Any suggestions on alternative brands that work? I'm going 82 on GPS, so that's what it has to be able to take.
Thanks in advance
P.S. To bad, the old one worked very well. It was a black plastic design that slid into a bracket on the transon. The unit was all plastic and was shaped like a blade, and had a pin that you pull out to slide the unit up and out. Would love to get a replacement part, but don't know what brand it was??

I have what you need sitting in a box somewhere in my garage.
If you want it you can have it! Just send me whatever you think its worth (shipping charges). I would have to guess it is the one Gaffrig sells. It is the stainless tube and mount that is adjustable for depth.

GPS is the best.
If not I used a "Recoil" pitot tube for a number of years. It will spring back if it hits anything. Made of staniless and will not break. It was the only one that lasts. Normally advertised in the back of Hot Boat mag.
