GatorDave, Yes, Discovery has two 2004 Sunsations on order for inventory. One hot 288 offshore performance and one 288 mid-cabin open bow. They each have Merc 496 mag H.O 425 hp and hot custom paint by Mitcher T.Look for the two in stock boats around August 11th. Thanks for your interest in Sunsation, and Don at Discovery Powerboats will walk you thru the boats.

Be careful, GatorDave. I talked to the new dealer at the Orlando boat show this past weekend. They had a very nice 288 mid-cabin with a 496HO, but they are asking a ridiculous price for it. They must think they have a gold nugget or something since nobody else in the area is carrying them.
I loved the boat, though. It may be my next when I move up from the Baja 232. But, I suspect I'll be buying it elsewhere unless Discovery becomes a little more modest quickly.

Ric 232 I am sure when it comes to the crunching numbers at a time when your sitting down with Don, Jeremy, or Bing, they will make it right even if they come to me to get involved in the sale.

Ric 232,
Thanks for the heads up. I saw the same boat this past Friday at our Jacksonville show. Very nice boat. My wife really liked the mid cabin. Discovery also had a very nice Velocity 290 at the show. That was priced at $129K with an HP500!
Denny,
Thanks for confirming there's room to work on the price. New single engine boats that cost 6 figures almost make we want to take up sailing
That was my first opportunity to see one of your boats in person. It looked great!

Denny,
My only point is that with a new product line and only one or two boats, they are going to wait for a buyer who will pay top dollar (that is, the buyer who doesn't know any better). If that doesn't work, they'll just dump it near the end of the model year for the right price. I can't blame them. It's supply and demand. But I personally would take my demand to another supply source unless the numbers got much better very quickly.

Rick 232,
Maybe Discovery would give us an OSO group discount if we each buy a boat! I'm starting to look seriously how about you? Do you know anybody else we could bring into the deal?
Denny,
I look forward to checking out the closed bow 288 soon.
