Default The race between GM & Mercury: DNS

Ok, the first third of the 2003 GMC Pro Grade Series is over. A pretty good time to see how those new Vortec engines have done against the Mercs. Strictly on a statistical basis.

But when you check the APBA-Offshore site, it appears as if nobody is using any Vortec engines.

In F1, all contenders are listed as running strictly Mercury hardware. And I know for a fact that at least some have dropped a Vortec in their boat. http://www.apba-offshore.com/results...ace3&ClassID=8

In F2, there is room for the hardware, but no info whatsoever on the hardware being used. http://www.apba-offshore.com/results...ace3&ClassID=9

Racers, please check your listings and ask APBA to correct what's wrong. Wouldn't it be a shame if nobody in the 2003 GMC Pro Grade Series would run a Vortec engine, as it is alleged by APBA's own website?

It's really too bad that APBA won't help the series sponsor to sell there stuff. The only F-1 entry that is running the Vortec is consistantly being penelized and scrutinized every race. It's really a shame that the only person to step up and take the challenge has to be treated in this manner. Fastedy's Superboat F1-68

Easy rapidcapt, we are working on that now, as far as the 2 engines, John Coen and I have been comparing notes sence the beggining of the season, we are running abought the same give or take a half mph, we plan to test together this month with the same prop to see what we have. We both do run faster with the old drive, 3 to 3 1/2 mph our boat need lots of bow lift and were not getting it with the new drive.

Ok, I knew for a fact that Eddie is running a Vortec.
