Question Holley jet extensions...do you need them?

Do you guys with Holley carbs run jet extensions?
I was just wondering, been thinking that maybe the secondary jets might become uncovered while planing.

I removed them in one carb and left them in the other. Did not make any differance. Hope that helps.
