Hi!
I will try out an experiment next year - adding another Promax 300 (SVS) to my Phantom 25. We have measured and I have spoken to the builder, and it should be fine.
At this moment I have a torquemaster lower unit on my current engine. Current top speed is 76-78 mph. Expected top speed is 85-88 mph.
According to Merc Hi Performance the Torquemaster is safe into the low eighties. Should I swop to a nose coned unit? And if so - a Sportmaster with straight skeg or a Bobs nose coned unit (I have one spare). Which is fastest?
Have a nice summer!

Toffen I am not sure about the Bobs unit but my stock 300pm sportmasters have seen over 109mph with no problem. Depends a lot on motor height. I do think you would be much better off If you could trade that 300pm for a pair of280hp 2.5s due to the size and weight of your boat . I know you have worked hard on this project and I wish you the best of luck.
