I am happy with it so far, no problems at all. The boat still is not to fast, only mid 70's i think. The boat is a 18.5 ft powerplay, about 2750 lbs dry. I have been running the alpha drive with my last motor and this one, I have not had one problem with the drive and I ream the crap outta of it. Look into the www.airflowresearch.com It will have alot of info for you to read. My last motor i ran vortec heads on it and they are great flowing heads, plus made great torque.
for a idea....I had a little over $7000 into it and did all the work my self. The crank, rods and oil pan were used outta my old motor.

Awsome boat, had one for 10 yrs. I will tell you right now, give up on trying to make her fast. I went from a 330 at 53mph to a 468 at 62 mph to a 540/540 at 68 mph. I figured a 900 poker run motor might get her to hit 70
If you are running a small block/alpha package in ther,do not add power or it will smoke drives lilke crazy. Heavy Heavy boat for 23 feet.
