Question Water in carb enclosure????

Im seeing water all over my carb and inside of the enclosure everytime I first open it up, and when I dock the boat at the marina. My new carb looks likeI found it under water, theirs rusted screws and white dust everywhere. Also when I run the hose with fresh water to flush the system, you can see all the condesation all over the intercooler. Theirs no leak, ive checked, plus if you pull off the intercooler hose it dries out after a few seconds. Does anyone with a procharger have the same problem or know how to cure this, because im also getting the rpms all messed up because of this? I guess because of the water and gas mix. Also is that litte tap in the bottom of the enclosure supposed to stay open, because I have it closed? Need any help fellas, thanks

I have that problem too. My coolers do not leak. I am guessing that it is condensation. I don't know where you live, but here in the northeast there has been alot of rain and humidity. When I run mine on the hose the intercooler almost immediatly gets condensation on it. The carbs also look like they are "sweating" Is this bad, and what is the cure.....I don't know. Hope someone can help.

Condensation and humidity
I put a brand new carb and intake on, and new valve covers. Within 1 WEEK!! the looked like they were a year old from the flakey white corrosion stuff. Now I spray WD40 everytime I go out. I'm in Fla. now....Never had this problem in Calif.

I allways open my hatch whenever I stop or park for about 15 minutes just to let fresh air in a dry out what ever is starting to build up.

But my guess would be high humidity, since we boat mostly on the lakes and ocean we do not see it as the east coast would.

Are we still talking about moisture inside the Carb Box?

The water temp you boat in can cause some Condensation.]

Have you pressure checked the intercooler ?
