Default What are my TRS drives truly worth???

I am thinking about doing the TRS to Bravo conversion on my Excalibur. I plan on keeping this boat for a while and I think this will help the resale down the road and I will not run into the MercTrans problems I have been having as well as not having to find the "right" person to be able to work on MercTrans/TRS set-ups.

So, my question is, what are these TRS drives truly worth? They are in perfect working condition and look very, very nice! I would be selling the entire drive, housing, gimbles etc. I would also be selling one working MercTrans II transmission.

I would also be interested in trading for Bravo items for me to complete my TRS to Bravo conversion.

Please give me some input!!!

Thanks,

When we blew a TRS on our top gun we swapped the drives out with #2 speed masters, they bolted right on. Just another way to go for you if it would work. Changed the whole attitude of the boat and looked really good. Never had a problem with them but sold it after a year or so to buy another Apache.

I don't have any Bravo stuff to swap but since I've been rebuilding TRS's for years and have all the tools to play, I kinda like 'em. Not to offend, but if I could steal a unit to have as a back-up, I would consider the investment. I hope you get someone to do a swap with you, but if not, e-mail or P.M. me and we'll talk. --- Jer

I sold my trs drives (left & right), gimbals, inner plates, trim pistons & all the little hardware for $7500. two years ago.
I don't know what you will get for the Merc transmissions.
I converted to SSM3As

I was considering a swap 2 years ago. I got an offer from a merc dealer that specializes in rebuilds of $2000 for my entire TRS, merc trans and transome stuff. Sight un-seen.
