I had my boat in for service last winter, and one of the things they did was remove the drives. Now that I have the boat back I've noticed that the trim gauges don't read full down. So this morning I put the boat on the trailer, and it looks to me like it is the trim cylinders that determine the down position. Am I right in this assumption?
Is there a way to adjust the down postion further so that the drives will "tuck under" the boat.
It's a real bear to plane the boat the way it is now. The drives are now parrallel to the bottom of the boat when they are fully down.

I assume you have the electrical trim indicators, not mechanical. Either way, there is nothing that limits the down stop on the drive, other then the ram bottoming out. If it is electrical there is a trim limit switch that limits how far you can trim the drive with the trim buttom vs the trailer button.

Now, sometimes after sitting all winter the rams don't want to trim all the way in. I have seen this on several drives, the rams stay out about 1". If you trim the drive all the way up and down a few times it should clear the problem.

There is a Grommit on the outboard end of the drive....They may have reversed it when re-instaling your drive.

Maybe that was'nt so clear...........Where the rams bolt to the drive there is a reversable grommit....make sure the hole is on the outside of the drive {farthest from the boat } easy to change if they did it wrong

later model bravo drives have a slot rather than a hole where the trim ram pin goes through the outdriveThe extra space is taken up by a plastic spacer block. Remove the nuts,slide the pin out and lift the rams out of the way. If there is a plastic block behind the pin,thats your problem. It MUST be infront of the pin,not behind it.
