Default insurance question

How much could insurance should I expect to pay on a 26 daytona with say stock power 525efi, perfect driving record and mid 20's for age. Anyone have similar situation or know of someone that does. I keep hearing that my first boat should not be a tunnel because of insurance. Unfortunately, I was raised around fast boats and could not aford to put tons of HP in a V to make it run.

Guessing 2,000 to 3,000 a year, Call Sy Goldberg at "Total Dollar" He is very reasonable and offers proper marine insurance.

Is insurance really cheaper in a V compared to a tunnel. For example say 27-29 V w/525 to 26-27 tunnel. I keep hearing different things - I guess it is more of a case by case deal.
