I was running a 625hp blower motor thru a stock B1 for 3 yrs, and 3 yrs by the original owner with no problems ever on my last 27' Fever. The boat was never hammered out of the hole and driven fairly 'drive' easy during the 6 yrs. I also ran it up to 5800 many times.

All depends on how you treat it.
