Question GMC/Chevy Crewcab 1500 HD?

Has anybody out there have a GMC or Chevy 1500HD crewcab? I am looking at buying one, and would like some input and feed back from someone who might have one or HAD one. Thanks in advance.

Ride/comfort?
Mileage?
Vortec performance?
Problems?
etc?

Ben

That will be my next truck when this one is done. I have a few years yet though. The people I know with them, absolutely love them. Good luck.

Ben
what kind of prices are you getting on that truck ? I'm selling a 2003 2500HD crew cab and I would like to compare. I looked @ the 1500 but it only comes with a 6' bed I wanted an 8'.
Thanks

Wow, have I got a story for you. I bought my 2500HD CC in 2001. I've got 40K on it now. 2- 8.1 engines later. Dealer says porous blocks, used 1 gal of antifreeze in 1 week. 2nd motor threw rod with 5K. I'm only pulling a 30ft 5th wheel Dutchman camper about 8000#. No problems with power and allison trans is sweet. Just those 8.1's I'm not sure of. Looking at the new rear steer now in 1500HD. Just thought I'd chime in.
