I love Northport! Clean water, nice facilities, and great location for cruising to Traverse, Charlevoix, Beaver Island, Elk Rapids, etc....

But if you wanna stay in a marina where the view is great, stay at the Municipal in Grand Haven. The dock traffic is awsome on a hot sunny weekend. Bikini's everywhere!!!!

I've never stayed there, but I've been to the island several times and it looks like a nice marina.

Mackinaw is pretty nice, and is located smack in the center of town. The best part is they take reservations and I suggest you do not go there without them. We were there mid week a few weeks back, and boats were sitting in the harbor for hours, just hoping someone did not show up. Do you also notice, as the water level is down that it is becoming a challenge to climb up on the docks. It is especially treacherous in a skirt and sandals, or after a night on the town!

You guys missed the boat!! Elk Rapids is by far the nicest in the state bar none!!!Best ramp fresh flowers in the bath house nicest management period.boathead is right GH is a cesspool!!! I Like Grelickville too, new floating docks needs a bigger bath house but its way nice. I'll try to get to St. Ignace this coming week to check out the new diggs! boathead we need to hook up sounds like we have the same taste in marinas! If you want to include private ones there is Bay Harbor its beautiful but expensive. The wife and I love Mackinaw we were married there in 1999 but it needs some rain or lower the docks to make it better for boats under 50'.well that my .02 and one more Ludington is nice is the wind keeps the soot from the badger off your boat.
