Default Bob Hope dies @ 100

Bob Hope just died.

Great man and will be missed.

Bob Hope came to Da Nang in 1968 and while I was not able to make it down from the DMZ to see him it made things much better knowing there were people like him supporting our troops. Too bad we don't have more like him today that will put politics behind and use their God given talents in supporting our troops.

Yes, a great man, he will be missed! I also did not get to see him but I agree, it was encouraging that he was there. When everyone else was ignoring the Grunts in Nam.....he was there!

I was a little further South, with the
198th LIB, near Chu Li. Nobody in our unit got to leave the field to see the show. The only ones who got to go were the REMFs.

He's shared so much of himself with the world it will be difficult to believe he's gone.

He was a very fortunate man to live 100 years and contribute so much.
