Angry Internet Guru's Help!

I have a porn page called xxx toolbar that pops up every time I click on my internet explorer icon, the only way to get rid of it is to close out internet exlorer with the windows task manager I have ran Ad-Aware 7 times and Norton Antivirus and it does not get rid of it I have also deleted all of my temporary internet files and cookies and it didnt help. Everytime I type in a web adress my computer automatically rewrites it as this xxx toolbar I am typing this from my friends computer, because my computer is now worthless for surfing the net

Does anyone have any suggestions?

dont go to those crappy pron sites. And NEVER pun in your email even if they say Free Pics!

Go to control panel, add/remove programs and look for something taskbar. if not there, then open IE, right click on the grey at the top (part with no buttons) and un check the tool bar. Be sure to clear histonry too. That should do it, not that I know this from experience or anything.

easier fix

go to C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files

This is where IE keeps all those dumb ass mini programs it loads such as skins, flash players and yes your toolbar.

Just look for it in their and delete it.

Gone.

Sounds to me that a site forced it's way as your home page. Go to the menu "Tools"...then select "Internet Options" and you should get a window like shown below. Make sure your Home Page (the page that loads when you start IE) is what you want.

Every time I run Ad-Aware, this file comes up called istbar, I am guessing that is my problem, I go to search on my desktop and search for the file name and nothing comes up Ad-Aware detects it and deletes it but it keeps comming back

Nort, I keep changing my home page to OSO, but when I go back to check it it has the adress to the porn page, and at the end of the adress it says (=www.offshoreonly.com) so it is telling my computer that oso IS! a porn site

Maybe if you stop beating your dummy and do some work this wouldn't happen.
