Left water in the fresh water tank for ~1 month. Used the sink today and the water has an odor. What can be used to clean the system out? Are there any chemicals which are "safe" to use in the tank and still be able to wash your hands with the water?

Thanks Ray! Will add some to it this weekend. Any I idea how big the holing tank is in an Exciter, 15 gal???
If not will pull out the books at home.

The water tank in my 340 is 20 gallons.

I had the same problem recently. I dumped several ounces of bleach in the tank then added a bunch of water to mix it up. Ran it dry and repeated a couple more time. Ran it through the hot water tank as well. Then I added the recommended amount of bleach (about two or three teaspoons) to a full tank. It seemed to work. I will know for sure today. Heading down to the marina momentarily.
