Default OT-Cell Phone call waiting tone

We have 15 sprint pcs phones. Before my last disaster with them when you called a phone & the person was on the phone the caller would hear a ring, then a beep inbetween the rings. I have called sprint & asked why it does not do it any more. There response was it never was a feature with them & no one there knows what I am talking about. Does anyone else have this? It was nice because you knew the person was on the phone & did not keep letting the phone ring. After the person got off his phone he would call you back when he saw what number he missed.

I don't have Sprint, we have AT&T Wireless, but our call waiting beeps. My current phone also vibrates when any call or text message comes in which is good because there's times I don't hear the beep tone..

Turbo Jack. I have Sprint also, I know what you are asking and No I have never noticed my phone to do that. Could be a feature that was lost when you swapped over to PCS?

Iggy- The caller that is calling my cell phone was hearing the tone when they are calling if I was on the phone.

My thought when sprint went & screwed everything up was when I lost it but since I do not hear it I do not know. The only way I knew it was not there was after the secetary was asking why I was not answering my phone. Of course sprint thinks I am nuts.

I know what you are talking about. I have T Mobil. I don't know if it is dependant on your phone, or the phone you are calling. It's like a low secondary ring on the other end that you hear when you are calling it. Kinda like "dee-doop".

On my new Nokia I had to turn on the call waiting feature. I have the option of having it or not. Check your phone settings for this feature/option.
