there are used D-max's out there, all depends on if you are looking at something specific or not. Try looking at www.traderonline.com
As for bigger tires. The biggest tire you can fit with out getting hassels from the dealers is a 265.....but if you go up in size make sure to find a dealer who knows you have to reprogram the trans along wth the truck.......there are two different computers that need flashing for the tire sizes.
There are also aftermarket places that will program your truck for even bigger tires. I think Hypertech finnaly came out with a program. My buddy Karl had his computer done my Duramaximizer....but his program is permanently in the computer and cant be changed back to stock. He runs 35's on his truck and has had them on there since Feb without any problems.....even drove down to FL and back to Chicago without incident.
As for Warrantee work, there is a federal law that states the dealer cannot void your warrantee for any aftermarket stuff you put on the truck. The only thing they can do is refuse to do work on the truck if they can prove that what you had installed was the cause of the problem. So if you lift your truck and the stereo fry's they cant say it has anything to do with the lift.......now if you have porpane injection and a chip etc and you fry the trans....well thats another story....but thet can not void your warrantee for any of it!
