Default Black Thunder owners

Black Thunder owners, what top speed do you get and what power are you using. I'm especially interested in horsepower ranging from 2-500's to 2-700's. Thanks.

A year or two ago there was two test articles on Black Thunders. I believe Powerboat did one and I cant remember the other, I will look when I get home.

Anyway, I remember reading twin 500EFIs got 73 and the reason I remember so well is because the other test article said triple 500EFIs only got 74 mph.

Mark, that seems odd. I have an odd case also. My Black Thunder has 2 engines that should make more than 600 hp if healthy but the boat only goes 69 gps. And that's with extension boxes and labbed 24 bravo 1's. I'm not expecting too much am I?

You know THATS impresive. A 46 ft VERY heavy boat going over 70 with just a 1000 hp. my 42 Sonic goes 73 with 1500 hp.
