Quick question. Do you guys know Locust Inn B&B on Solomons Island? Is it a nice place? Will their dock be a decent place to tie up the 26' Sonic overnight? Neda and I are considering a trip down there sometime soon, and they are the only place with rooms.

It’s not a particularly upscale place but that would be fine with me. It nestled right between the public restrooms and Catamarans. Catamarans is a notoriously routy bar with lots of wild girls. Mrs. Outlaw and I went up there one night for the Bikini Contest. Mrs. Outlaw was going to enter the contest. She changed her mind when she saw guys literally getting thrown out into the street by bouncers (and this was on a Thusday night). The Locust is also within easy stumbling distance to the Tiki Bar. I will check on the dock on my way home today. The public restroom right next door has a public dock but I’m not sure if you would be able to dock there over night.

Bottom line – I would stay there in a minute if I were coming to Solomons to party but not if I were looking for a romantic getaway.

Hey guys. Thanks for all the research. I just got the Holiday Inn to get us into a weekend getaway package for 2, Champagne included, King Room, Dinner and Breakfast for 2 night stay for $280. We reserved a slip there too for Saturday night, so will definately be out and about.

Bobby just told me the Full Tilt rally is this weekend too. Prepare to be deluged in a sea of Bajas.

Actually, the Full Tilt Rally typically draws more Formulas than Bajas.

As far as the Holiday Inn – it’s without a doubt the nicest place down there and the rate you got is decent (especially on short notice). Bad part is that it’s not within easy walking distance to Solomons.

At any rate, the weather’s supposed to be decent. We’ll all look for you this weekend. BobbyB will be trying out his new Imco Exhaust so you might hear him before you see him.
