Does anybody know what heads come on the 454 merc. 1985 to 1991 or so. I have an 87 with small oval ports, just wonder it they all come with these.

The low horsepower engines do. Higher horse versions come with GM recatngular-port heads. JimV from the board seems to have had some luck porting the peanut-port heads like you have but you'd probably end up with about the same money into them as what you could buy some Merlin oval-port heads for.
