Default New Boat - Advice Needed . . .

Being new to "offshore" boating, I would appreciate some advice on the purchase of a new boat.
I currently have a 'pontoon' boat.
The two boat that I am currently considering are a older 'Apache' boat at LEAST forty feet, or a 'Skater' boat at least forty feet.
My preference would be at this time the 'Skater' boat, because it has two hulls like my 'pontoon' boat. I amagine the handling characternisacts would be simelar.
Most of my boating will be in VERY rough water. LAKE George, in new york state. Or LAKE of the Ozarks, which is in Missouri, or LAKE Havasu which is in Arizona.

Any suggestions : /? input would be appreciated.

i wesh i had your predicament apache or skater??? YOU SUCK!!!!

but seriously apaches is gona be way slower than a skater with equal power. Its heavy old V. But they are great when it gets snotty. But then skater are good in the nasty **** too.

if you have an actual "ponton" party barge boat i'd think it handles "nothing" like a big skater running at 120+

Dude .... If your going to be boating in LAKES that are that rough then your only choice would be the "Apache" ,.... but only if "Bobby" built it !!!! If he didn't then go with "AT" !!!! But whatever you decide ... make damn sure it "turns like a champ" !!!! But , if you want to go FAST ....

... Buy a SKATER !!!!

How'd I do guys ????

The answers are better, because only three people understood the post.
