Default Volvo DPX Props

Hello Everyone.
Need some help.
When I had Merc. I knew where to send props for blueprinting which always resulted in about a 3mph gain.
Now, my new boat is equiped with a Innovation 500hp with a Volvo DPX drive. I don't know if there is anything that can be done to the props to gain a few mph.
Anyone have any experience with DPX props that can direct me to someone?
Thanks.

Hill Propellers has experience labbing Volvo-Penta "E" series duo-props. But be careful, like Darin said, those props are fairly thin to begin with and damn expensive to replace.

Soon to be installing a pair of DPX drives in my '72 Magnum 27 Sport and sitting on two pairs of E3s and two pairs of E4s.

Lightbulb volvo dpx dual props

Thanks for the phone call, your props are right on the money. Do the motor up grades that you were talking about and then we can add pitch or what ever needs to be done.Good luck and have a great Holiday.Darin >Houston Prop

Thanks for the input everyone.
It was nice talking to you Darin.
I found the manufacturer of the DPX "E" props.
Turns out they are an Aerospace co. in the midwest who manufacture propellers for aircraft....very cool!
Anyhow, that would explain why there's not much to do improvement wise as aviation spec stuff is pretty good to start with.

how does a BravoIII differ from the Volvo DPX?

I have a '98 Formula 252LS with a 502MAG MPI/BravoIII 2.0R with 28P's (the cupped ones).

I had them balanced and polished a couple of seasons ago and the boat runs strong right out of the hole up to WOT @ 5100-5200 RPM's at an indicated 65+ mph.

I always felt that I was leaving some mph's on the table as the boat pulls right up to WOT with no struggle at all.

Should I be looking at some P30's? More top speed would be cool, but as I run her on a Lake all around performance is more critical.

these props are very thick compared to the volvo dual props depends where you are currently at with the 28 pitch props, you might be able to run 30 pitch and lab finish these props ,maybe thin the 28"s and add some cupping I will need alot nore info.
