My boat was takin' on water a couple weekends ago. Once I got over the shock and horror I saw that there was a hole in my starboard y pipe. I did some searches on this list and saw that someone suggested using jb weld and a screw.

Well, I performed the operation this past weekend. It's holding true and hopefully will get me through the season. I plan on yankin' the engine this winter.

So, here's my question. If I'm going to yankie the engine what other routine stuff should I do at the same time? Should I go ahead and yankie the other engine and replace it's y pipe? I imagine the reason for the hole is corrosion.

I figured I'd replace the shift, exhaust and drive shaft bellows. Anything else????

Check and Replace the coupling that bolts onto the flywheel while the engine is out.
