A few of us are going to Chautauqua Lake this weekend for some inland boating. I know there are a couple of OSOers that boat there.

Is anyone going to be around for a few cold ones. I'll be there Friday at 5o until Sunday evening.

A little farther north and you can get into a lot of great boating on the Niagara! Schooners is a great bar stop there.

Nice Lake but with a fast boat you can explore quie easily as it is only about 20 miles long. Most of the bars and resturants that have docking are at Bemus Point. The most popular is named The Casino (no gambling)and has its own docks just south of the ferry. Bemus is on the east side of the lake and is approx in the middle. There are also public docks at Bemus

Where are you staying and what kind of boats? I don't know if I will be out, I had a latter collapse while I was on it and while nothing broke...I feel like a truck ran over me numerous times. I live on the lake in Lakewood which is on the Southern end.

Padraig .... If you feel like a truck ran over you now ... then hooking up with Dano over the weekend is just what you need . He likes to relax around the campfire, sip hot cocoa while making s-mores and singing "Koombaya" . You'll feel better in no time !!!!

Sorry to hear about your accident. Thanks for the info, although I'm very familiar with the lake. I have had relatives living on the lake for 15 years. We are staying at the Bemus Lake Side Cottages. The ones next door to the Surf Club.

I have a 27 Baja and the other couple of boats will be same or smaller. We will be bouncing around all weekend. Boating, beering and sandy bottom during the day and hitting the bars and having a fire at night.

My folks live in Busti, about 20 or so houses down from Smith Bros. Marina and my Aunt & Uncle live in Ashville.
