In your opinions, wich is the most reliable Mercury racing engine ever made ? : 525 SC , 500 EFI, 500 bull ........... etc...

I would say the 500 efi. Arguably one of Mercury's finest. Built well and built to last.

The Bull Dog was built to be ultra reliable. It is a 540 cubic inch engine with a conservative 500 horsepower, a completely custom built engine with the finest aftermarket internals. It was originally built for the Navy for use in high performance military craft. No expense is spared by the Navy/Mercruiser in building it!
