It's cast iron....don't know if it's rec. or oval yet....it is a GM head though.....Fred

Hey Fred,
A buddy of mine has the original heads off his 1986 454ci Cyclone 400HP engines that were in his Cigarette. I'll see if I can get by there this weekend and check the casting numbers. I am SURE that they are square port open chamber.

Thanks Zanie.....I think my heads are ok it's just that one has an odd number that nobody seems to know what it is....yet....the head on the opposite bank on my one motor is #14096188....I had a cam round off a lobe and am trying to figure out why....Fred
